Hey Guys! How are you?
Sorry about these days, I haven’t updated any news for Ubuntu Tweak. Because I was busy with my life and work. But I can tell you Ubuntu Tweak is still under development.
The next version will come soon, shipping with “PPA Purge”.
The PPA Purge is inspired by the PPA Purge in Launchpad (https://launchpad.net/ppa-purge), I rewrote it with Python and integrated into Ubuntu Tweak Package Cleaner. Here’s how it looks like:
By using PPA Purge, you can use the PPA sources more safely. From now on, you can recover back to the original packages easily.
Currently, I need more tester. If you want to help in testing Ubuntu Tweak, Please enable the testing source of Ubuntu Tweak. You can do that simply by using the following command:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-tweak-testing/ppa
Thanks!

Hi TualatriX.
Will Ubuntu Tweak be added to the Ubuntu Repositories? If so, when? If not, why?
Thank you.
Gary
Hi MIJ-VI
I don’t know whether Ubuntu Tweak will bed added to the Ubuntu Repositories.
It depends on how many users want, and it must be a MOTU work on this. There’s a bug report about this: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/252140
Currently it’s not so active any more.

The bug report about adding Ubuntu Tweak to the Ubuntu repositories has become more active, suddenly. I put in my own comment, but there have been other recent ones.
Hi,Tweak could support Debian squeeze?
@SNAG
Some features may can used under Debian Squeeze, but I don’t support for it.
Working great under Maverick
thank you
Is this still working? I haven’t tried this. Is this kind of a bug?
Oppsss. Sorry I miss something to read.
Ubuntu-Tweak is not completely useful on Lubuntu 10.04…
There are someproblem…
1/Unlock button can not use
2/Somefeatures there are only for Ubuntu(Nautilus as example)
3/Some packages/softwares are only for Ubuntu-Xubuntu-Kubuntu not Lubuntu yet…
…
I will look for more informations…
Sorry about this…I don’t know how to send a report so I post it here…
Regarded!
Ricardo, its called Ubuntu tweak NOT Lubuntu tweak. This is the most likely reason it does not work so well on Lubuntu.
