Old website has been move to: http://blog.ubuntu-tweak.com

As you see, the old http://ubuntu-tweak.com has been redirected to the new http://blog.ubuntu-tweak.com, this means the site will only be the blog for Ubuntu Tweak, the new website will come soon and point to http://ubuntu-tweak.com.

When will the new website and Ubuntu Tweak 0.5 comes? I plan to make it online at the the last day of 2009: I don’t want to take this task to the new year, because I’ve been developed for them over half year!

If you don’t update the RSS feed yet, just update!

And here’s another picture about Ubuntu Tweak 0.5, it runs under Xfce desktop with some specific feature to tweak Xfce!

It’s cool, right?

Will Ubuntu Tweak 0.5 work with Linux Mint by default? I used to use Ubuntu Tweak until I moved to Linux Mint. I had to make some changes to the code to allow it to work with Linux Mint.

    Two recommendations:
    1. Skype has been removed from medibuntu repo, so skype repo and medibuntu no longer conflict.
    2. getdeb repo should be added.

Wait, so Ubuntu Tweak 0.5 will not work on any distro that isn’t 9.10 or 9.10 based? That’s a shame. I’m running Jolicloud, which is a Jaunty-based distro, and I’ve used Ubuntu Tweak to do basically all of my configuration.

I use UT karmic on the Jolicloud too and so far I haven’t experienced any problems with the sources, programs and package cleaner.

The Startup modifications work fine to.

The Desktop modifications might be pointless since jolicloud uses the NBR which is already a own modification.

Some of the personal and system mods are working, as well some again wont make sense in Jolicloud. So good 60% of the tweaks are working. I like UT as an valuable addon on Jolicloud and could not life without it.
