Hi, Many thanks for your words. I will consider to take more kernel/desktop settings. Just after the release of Ubuntu Tweak 0.5.

Hi.

it seems that Ubuntu tweak is collecting all the "control settings" into a single unit.

This can't be a bad thing.

Personally I don't use ubuntu tweak - I am able to do all the things I need with the current settings manager.

However I would be in partial agreement with Exsecrabilus. Concentrate on including those parts that are Kernel / Desktop configuration specific (loading kernel modules, blacklisting etc).

Then allow others to create the "plugins" that will control their specified bit of sofware - I'm thinking a plugin for MySQL administration, or apache / tomcat for example.

Although the current admin facilities for these are fine being able to collect all the pieces in one place is a great idea.

so in brief.

Keep up the good work.
Concentrate on kernel and performance tweaks and monitoring.
Let the community create the plugins for other systems (which is what I think you are suggesting).
Does this lead to an "admin" and a "user" console?

For the moment, as I say above, I don't use Ubuntu Tweak. But I may have to get it onto my system really soon, just to try it out.
