The demo of Ubuntu Tweak 0.5 online data feature
November 8th, 2009 | by TualatriX |After several weeks’ work, the most important part of Ubuntu Tweak 0.5 has been finished!
Now Ubuntu Tweak got the ability to fetch online database to keep the Application information up-to-date!
It means that in the future, you can always keep all applications and sources data up-to-date without updating Ubuntu Tweak. It will make my maintenance work easily, and the most important is: everyone can take part in to extend the database!
Sounds cool, right?
Just watch the the short video, you will know it.
BTW: I know there’re some advanced users who have started to try the latest version and report bugs to me. I need to say please stop reporting any problem until the beta version available.
Of course you can continue to ask questions or request features throught Launchpad.
Thanks for your support!
Enjoy!

well done!
As a new ubuntu user who now converts tens of others to this OS I can ensure you that this is possible because of your programme!
The fist thing I do after installing a new ubuntu is to install ubuntu tweak.
You made the improbable to seem imminent.
A world without the malevolent microsoft monopoly to ruin our lives!
I will certainly donate some money in the future!
