[Bug-fix Version] Ubuntu Tweak 0.4.9.1 released
October 8th, 2009 | by TualatriX |First thanks everyone who votes for your distribution in the last post, now I know over 90% of users will use the latest version of Ubuntu, and about 4% people will stay at the LTS version (Ubuntu 8.04).
So I plan to make Ubuntu Tweak work better under “two distributions”: the latest LTS version, and latest the normal version. Of course in the year of 2010, when the Ubuntu 10.04 (LTS), there’s only one distribution.
OK, here’s a bug-fix version for you: Ubuntu Tweak 0.4.9.1
Ubuntu Tweak 0.4.9.1 is nothing but fix bugs and improve the sources. It’s better for everyone to update.
Here’s the summary:
- New third-party sources: Bisigi theme project and its ten themes, Gstreamer developer (PiTiVi), Lyx, Tomboy Stable and Unstable, Inkscape Nightly, PDF Mod, OSD Lyrics and OpenShot.
- Improve the performance of Cleaner and File Type Manager.
- Improve the Autostart.
- Ubuntu Tweak depend on policykit only
- Remove the “Show Desktop” option of nautilus, it isn’t usable anymore.
- Update Google Stalbe Sources, Opera sources and Mplayer sources.

The downloadable packages is available here, and the sources is ready too.
Here’s the screenshot under Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic.
Don’t forget to report bug if you find it.
Enjoy!

Hi,
Under Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic, the button “unlock” doesn’t work. No dialog shows up that will allow me to enter password and give the app permission to change stuff.
I got this from PPA, v0.4.9.1

Same than JC, Neither 0.4.9 nor 0.4.9.1 from PPA had a working Unlock button in Karmic. In fact, I have the Spanish version, with the same error.
I know Karmic is yet a beta, so I understand, but I have a question: Where and how can I report this a a bug?
I really love Ubuntu Tweak, I think it’s a great app, very useful. Great work.
