Another idea: add the option to set Synaptic to delete files after installing them and auto-delete history after 30 days (this would decrease the need for frequent manual packet cleaning).
I mean, it’s basically what you can achieve this through the Synaptic menu, but not anybody know it.
Settings -> Preferences -> Files -> Delete downloaded packages after installation then click Delete Cached Package

Another nice tweak would be the option to install security updates without confirmation, basically the same the can be set in System>Admin>Software Sources.
Or even, why not an option to auto-install every recommended update altogether ?

I suggest adding an option to re-enable the ctrl-alt-backspace thing in Ubuntu 9 and Fedora 11. Thanks.

On the “Computer” tab I can cahnge my Hostname, Distribution, etc…

It would be awesome to be able to change my WORKGROUP as well. Currently I have to use gconf to change my WORKGROUP. Could this be added?

I finally took the plunge the other day and decided to wipe the operating system that came with my EEE PC and install Ubuntu Netbook Remix!
