I recently installed ubuntu together with its codecs(debs) and it works fine. My main problem with it is that it plays videos slowly and informs me that my system is too slow .i.e. 800MHz. But since i have also installed windows on the same system and it works fine! What could be the problem? Is it the drivers, codecs, or what could be the the problem?
I recently started to work with linux(ubuntu) and could really use all the help I could get! You can just post a comment with some links to some real helpful stuff(PDFs,debs, etc) in my blog or email them to me if you wouldn't mind!
     Thanks in advance!

Hello crjackson,

Looks like it was a bad install/update, try removing the application. Download and install from scratch, that may well do the trick!

Hi Lee,

thanks for your answer. I think that's not a great feature of Ubuntu - but the opportunity to deactivate it with Ubuntu Tweak is great ;-)
