Ubuntu Tweak 0.2.6 released: With Hardy support!

Sorry! I’m late. These two days I lived without the Internet, I couldn’t do anything related to the network.

Now I’m back. The first thing is releasing the Ubuntu Tweak 0.2.6.

I’m happy to see that during these days, Ubuntu Tweak is translated to over 14 languages. And Brazilian Portuguese, Danish, Italia,Arabic is almost finished.

Let’s see what’s new in Ubuntu Tweak 0.2.6:

1. Auto Start Program Tweaks
As I said before, Ubuntu Tweak 0.2.6 supported auto start program tweaks.

It’s much more flexible than Gnome Session. It provides the safe way to control your auto start program. It’s safe to remove the auto start item, because Ubuntu Tweak only mark it hidden. You can always make it appear and auto run again.

Ubuntu Tweak also provides the way to delete the item from disk.

2. Support Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy

Some people were already using Hardy. So I opened this application to Hardy.

There’s no difference when Ubuntu Tweak works under Hardy or Gutsy. When Hardy release, I’ll develop on Hardy, so Ubuntu Tweak may have more special tweaks under Hardy.

3. Appearance improvement

The banner of Ubuntu Tweak is too big, so I shrinked it. This time it may looks better.

4. More language support

Korean, Japanese, Catalan, Czech, Dutch, Norwegian Bokmal , Norwegian Nynorsk, Russian, Spanish and so on.

Follows the screenshots, Ubuntu Tweak 0.2.6 runs under Hardy.

At last, thanks all the people that give me suggestions to help improving Ubuntu Tweak, and thanks all the translators. Especially zwl, he is a Chinese guy, and he made the Japanese translation.

I’ll make more work on Ubuntu Tweak in this holiday.

So will the Gutsy repo work with Hardy too?

PS: You should add the repo info to the “Download” page to make it easier to find! :)

    To the two users above:-

Although 0.2.6 has Hardy Heron Support, you should try downloading and installing Ubuntu Tweak 0.2.10, I’ve been testing 0.3 (Not yet released) and it works flawlessly with Ubuntu 8.04 (Hardy Heron).
